Cacao Swollen Shoot Virus workshop learns about CONNECTED
Delegates at a Cacao Swollen Shoot Virus (CSSV) workshop in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, became the latest group of conference attendees to be introduced to the CONNECTED network.
The September event brought together a number of CCSV experts to try to establish the sampling and management techniques that should be used going forward. Industry, researchers, farmers, policy makers and research facility directors were present.
CONNECTED network member Dr G. Mandela Fernandez-Grandon gave a short presentation to delegates about CONNECTED, encouraging them to join, and take advantage of the opportunity it provides to collaborate with experts in other fields, and to share their knowledge with the CSSV-mealybug virus-vector system.
