Calls coming up – EU/Africa Collaboration
We recently attended a brokerage event organised by UnILION for sparking new collaborations for upcoming calls under the Horizon Europe programme clusters 5 & 6.
These funding calls welcome applications from African collaborators and may be of interest to some CONNECTED members. This could be your opportunity to get involved in a large European research programme, or propose your own!
The event we attended was about networking with others interested in applying for these calls, and participants were from all over Europe and Africa.
It will be followed up by two information days in December – you can register for these here.
CONNECTED attended the event because we are interested in taking part in large collaborations in order to secure the future of the network.
The calls that spoke most to our core interests and expertise were those on reducing conventional pesticide use, innovations in plant protection and tackling outbreaks of plant pests, and also include the calls that aim to join up activities and enhance cooperation between the EU and Africa under the Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture partnership.
See below:
And below is what we presented as our CONNECTED offer. The network is a powerful mix of plant health and entomology expertise, and well-placed to be involved in any of these large collaborations.
Why not sign up for the information days and see what opportunities might be available for you and your institution?
